Suspicious person probe leads to weapon cocaine and DWI arrest

Police say a suspicious person investigation led to multiple criminal charges including weapon possession, drug offenses and drunken driving allegations

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A Monmouth County man faces multiple criminal charges after Wall Township police say a suspicious person investigation uncovered a weapon, drugs and evidence of impaired driving.

According to police, Patrolman Vincent Colucci responded Thursday to investigate a suspicious person on Allenwood Road.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of William Nagle, 64, of Tinton Falls.

Authorities charged Nagle with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone and criminal trespass.

Police did not release additional details regarding the weapon or the circumstances surrounding the investigation.

The charges were announced as part of the Wall Township Police Department’s weekly arrest blotter.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
