SWAT Team Finds Couple Dead Inside Home After Gunfire Call

Homestead, PA — The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a double homicide following a request for assistance in Homestead. At 4:14 PM, County 9-1-1 received a report of shots fired inside a residence in the 100 block of West 15th Avenue.

Upon arrival, first responders found an adult male and an adult female deceased inside the residence. Homestead police initially responded to the shots fired call and, after receiving no response from the residence, requested SWAT assistance, believing a suspect might be inside.

SWAT officers entered the residence and discovered the victims. Detectives are currently initiating the investigation.
