Teaneck Police Seek Fugitive Suspect in Recent Burglaries

TEANECK, NJ – The Teaneck Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a suspect linked to multiple recent burglaries.

Aley Beretay is wanted in connection with a residential burglary on Longview Court, which occurred early in the morning on June 3, 2024. According to the report, a doorbell camera captured Beretay entering through a porch window and stealing items including a GT bicycle, two pairs of sneakers, and several electrical cords.

Additionally, on June 5, 2024, at approximately 5:31 PM, Beretay is believed to have been involved in an attempted burglary of a vehicle on Cedar Lane. Witnesses observed a man trying to break into a parked vehicle with a hand truck. Though the suspect fled before officers arrived, they recovered a hand truck and a black bag containing several cases of energy drinks nearby.
