Teen robbed for jacket in midday mugging at St. James Park

Bronx, NY – A 15-year-old boy was robbed of his jacket in broad daylight Wednesday while walking through St. James Park in the Bronx, police said, as investigators search for two suspects who fled the scene on foot.

The incident happened around 12:50 p.m. near 2550 Jerome Avenue inside the park, within the 52nd Precinct. According to NYPD, the teen was approached by two unidentified individuals who threatened him and demanded his jacket.

After taking the jacket, the suspects ran off northbound on Morris Avenue. No injuries were reported.

The NYPD released a public appeal through Crime Stoppers on social media, asking anyone with information to contact them via direct message or call their anonymous tip line at 1-800-577-TIPS.

As of Thursday afternoon, no arrests had been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
