Teen attacked and robbed by moped bandit in queens

NEW YORK, NY—Police reported that on Tuesday, a confrontation occurred in front of 165-65 84 Avenue, involving six individuals and two teenage boys, ages 15 and 17. The incident, which took place at around 1:20 PM, escalated from a verbal dispute to an attempted robbery.

The dispute began with the younger teenager, and as the older teen intervened, the group attempted to forcibly steal his wallet. While five of the attackers were apprehended at the scene, one fled on a black moped and remains at large.

The 17-year-old victim suffered facial injuries during the altercation but declined medical treatment. The 15-year-old was unharmed. The individual still at large is described as a male, aged 20-25, with a medium complexion and large build, last seen wearing dark clothing.

Authorities have released media of the fleeing suspect, available through the Department of Criminal Public Information (DCPI). The investigation is ongoing, and police are seeking any additional information from the public.
