Teen charged for robbing bank, slashing and stabbing teller, customers

COLUMBUS, OH – On Tuesday, at 11 am, 18-year-old Danilo Nkematiah entered PNC Bank at 1850 E. Dublin Granville Rd., jumped the counter, and stabbed a teller at the bank, in the abdomen with a knife.When a good samaritan attempted to help the teller, Nkematiah cut and stabbed them in the left arm and chest. As Nkematiah ran from the bank, he knocked down a customer. Nkematiah told that customer to give him his money and swung a knife at him. The victim put his arm up to block the knife and was cut on the hand.

Nkematiah was positively identified by a witness who saw him in the area and taken into custody, a short time later. During the interview of Nkematiah, he confessed to the assaults and stated his intentions were to rob the bank.
