NORRISTOWN, PA – A 15-year-old girl identified as Precious Hamilton has been arrested and charged with third-degree murder following the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Baseem “Seyven” Baker inside a Jenkintown residence Monday afternoon.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Abington Township Police Chief Patrick Molloy announced the arrest Tuesday after a joint investigation revealed Hamilton allegedly fired the shot that killed Baker.
Police were called to the 100 block of Old York Road just after 5 p.m. Monday for reports of an unresponsive person. Officers found Baker dead from a gunshot wound on a bedroom floor.
Detectives say Hamilton, of Crum Lynne, had been staying at Baker’s home since Friday night and was seen handling a handgun over the weekend.
Video evidence recovered from victim’s iPad
Investigators recovered images and video from Baker’s iPad showing Hamilton holding and “dry firing” a small-caliber handgun out the bedroom window on Sunday, a day before the shooting.
A witness told police Hamilton displayed the gun to others and confirmed it was loaded with live ammunition.

Victim’s mother discovered her son
According to investigators, Baker’s mother left the apartment around 2:40 p.m. Monday and returned roughly two hours later to find the door unlocked and her son unresponsive in his room.
An autopsy conducted Tuesday by Dr. Ian Hood of the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office determined Baker died from a gunshot wound to the head. The death was ruled a homicide.
Charges filed in adult court
Hamilton has been charged in adult court with Third-Degree Murder, Involuntary Manslaughter, Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, and Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License. She is being held at the Montgomery County Youth Center pending arraignment.
Prosecutors emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
