Teen killed in Alexandria parking lot as police investigate late-night shooting

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A 19-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night in a residential parking lot in Alexandria, as investigators continue to seek answers in the city’s latest deadly shooting.

The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on April 19 in the 22 block of Canterbury Square. Officers arrived to find the young man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking area of the complex.

Despite life-saving efforts by Alexandria Fire Department medics, the victim died at the scene. His body has been transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner to determine the official cause of death.

As of Monday, authorities have not publicly released the identity of the victim, and no arrests have been made.
