Teen shot in Baltimore before dawn leaves 19 year old in serious condition

A 19-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after gunfire erupted on a Northwest Baltimore street early Wednesday, police said.

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 19-year-old man is in serious condition after being shot multiple times in Northwest Baltimore early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Officers responded at about 3:03 a.m. to the 2900 block of Baker Street for a report of a shooting, the Baltimore Police Department said.

When officers arrived, they found the 19-year-old victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

Detectives from the Northwest District Shooting unit responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation.

Police have not released information about a suspect or a possible motive.
