Knife attack inside Queens station leaves teen injured
Queens, NY — A 14-year-old boy was slashed in the face inside a Queens subway station Sunday afternoon after a confrontation escalated when an unidentified individual pulled a pocketknife and attacked before fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. at the Parsons Boulevard subway station mezzanine, within the confines of the NYPD’s 107th Precinct and Transit District 20. According to information released by NYPD Crimestoppers, the teen was approached by the suspect, leading to a dispute that turned violent.
During the encounter, the individual displayed a pocketknife and cut the victim across the face. The suspect then fled the station on foot to an unknown location.
No description of the suspect has been released. The condition of the victim has not been disclosed.
