Teen wounded in Hell’s Kitchen shooting, suspect at large

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A 17-year-old male was shot and wounded in Hell’s Kitchen on Tuesday evening, police said.

The shooting occurred at approximately 6:51 p.m. near the corner of 10th Avenue and West 51st Street. An unidentified male suspect displayed a firearm and fired one round, striking the teen in the back right shoulder.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on West 51st Street toward 11th Avenue. The victim was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he is in stable condition, according to authorities.

The suspect is described as having a dark complexion with black hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, light blue sweatpants, and black sneakers.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
