Teenager Shot Multiple Times Dead In DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 16-year-old boy was shot to death Monday afternoon in Southeast, D.C. Detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department are investigating the shooting.

At around 3:38 p.m., police were alerted to a shooting on the 2300 block of Green Street. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered 16-year-old Jamal Jones, who didn’t have a fixed address, with gunshot wounds.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are now urging anyone with any information regarding this incident to come forward and contact the police at 202-727-9099. There’s also an option for individuals to provide anonymous tips by texting the department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
