LaPlata, MD – Early this morning at 2:00 AM, the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported garage fire in the Ellenwood area of LaPlata. Upon arrival, units found an active fire at the scene.

Engine 8-2 was tasked with establishing a tanker fill site, which was set up at the Clark Senior Center. Tanker 8 provided one load of water to assist in extinguishing the fire, while Engine 8-2 filled multiple tankers to ensure a continuous water supply for the firefighting efforts.

The quick response and coordination of the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department were crucial in managing the fire and preventing further damage.
