Myrtle Beach Police Department Swears in New Officer Promotes Veterans

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Myrtle Beach Police Department expanded its ranks and recognized the achievements of its veteran officers during a ceremony held earlier today. Police Officer Calee McClellan was officially sworn in as the newest member of the department. In addition to welcoming Officer McClellan, the department also celebrated the promotion of nine seasoned officers, underscoring its commitment to enhancing public safety in the Myrtle Beach community.

The department also honored several officers for their dedication and service with promotions. Pfc. David Douglas, Pfc. Nathan Howitt, Pfc. Danielle Loizzi, and Pfc. Charles Nycum were all promoted to the rank of Corporal. Corporals Sam Boyd and Logan Cooper were elevated to the rank of Master Corporal. Master Corporals Joe Lardino and Kristi Muhlbaier were promoted to Sergeant, and Sergeant Garrett Spencer was advanced to the rank of Lieutenant.

Chief Amy Prock expressed pride in the achievements of the officers, stating that their commitment to the community is a testament to the department’s values. “These promotions are well-deserved, and we know these officers will continue to make our community and first-in-service team proud,” she said.
