Three charged in fatal shooting of 15 year old on Brehms Lane

BALTIMORE, MD — Three suspects have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy earlier this week in the city’s Eastern District, the Baltimore Police Department announced.

Rodsheead Alexander, 34, Zion Wimbish, 19, and Ra’Shawn Smith, 19, were arrested for their alleged involvement in the May 7 shooting that claimed the life of John Lewis. The incident unfolded in the 3500 block of Brehms Lane around 6:13 p.m., while officers were in the area responding to an unrelated call.

At the scene, officers found a 19-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the leg. Shortly after, police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Mannasota and Brendan Avenue and discovered Lewis, 15, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Lewis was later pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.
