Three injured in Methuen shooting, two juveniles involved

METHUEN, Mass. — Three people, including two juveniles, were injured in a shooting early Monday morning on Boston Street, according to Methuen police. The incident occurred around 1 a.m., and authorities believe one suspect remains at large.

Officers responding to the scene found two individuals with gunshot wounds — an adult male and a 17-year-old. Both were transported to a hospital for treatment, though their conditions were not immediately released. A third victim, a 16-year-old, sought medical attention on his own and was also found to have been shot, police said.

During the investigation, two firearms were recovered. One was found on Swan Street, while the second was discovered during a search of a residence on Boston Street, according to Methuen Police Chief Scott McNamara.

A Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit, along with a Methuen Police K-9, assisted in the investigation. Authorities believe the incident is isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The investigation is continuing, and no arrests have been announced.
