ALEXANDRIA, VA — A late-night crash on Glebe Road in Alexandria sent three people to the hospital Sunday night, with two sustaining serious injuries, according to the Alexandria Police Department.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday between Mt. Vernon Avenue and Russell Road. Emergency responders arrived to find three individuals injured, two of whom required immediate transport to the hospital for serious injuries.
Authorities have not yet released details on what caused the collision as the investigation remains ongoing.
Glebe Road was shut down for several hours following the crash, but police announced shortly after 2 a.m. that the scene had been cleared and all lanes reopened.
