DOVER, DEL. – Three Dover men are facing felony drug and weapons charges after Delaware State Police executed search warrants at three homes on Vanessa Drive as part of a narcotics investigation.
Detectives from the Kent County Drug Unit carried out the coordinated operation on Thursday, detaining all three suspects without incident.
Officials said the searches were the result of an ongoing probe into alleged drug distribution activities involving the men.
Police uncover cocaine, heroin, and firearms
Investigators searching the home of 39-year-old Neal Barnes found more than 100 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine combined, along with two handguns, ammunition, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia.

At the residence of 52-year-old Anthony James, detectives seized nearly 73 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and $2,472 in suspected drug proceeds.
During a third search at the home of 51-year-old Kevin Walker, troopers discovered heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, ecstasy pills, prescription medications, and sublingual films containing buprenorphine and naloxone. A child was also present in Walker’s residence during the search, police said.
Suspects face multiple felony charges
Barnes was charged with multiple drug and firearm offenses and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $57,000 cash bond following arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 2.
James and Walker were also arrested and charged with felony drug-related offenses. Police did not report any injuries or resistance during the searches.
The Delaware State Police said the investigation remains active as detectives continue reviewing evidence collected from the three homes.
