Three New Yorkers hit $50K Powerball wins

NEW YORK — Three third-prize-winning Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each were sold across New York City for the December 4 drawing, the New York Lottery announced Thursday.

The lucky tickets were purchased at Astoria Blvd Deli Grocery in Astoria, Bhakti 514 Inc in Brooklyn, and Sai Stop Deli & Grocery in South Richmond Hill. Each ticket matched four of the five white balls and the red Powerball.

The Powerball numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were selected from a pool of one to 69 for the white balls and one to 26 for the red Power Ball. Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

Lottery officials urge all players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back to secure any winnings.

This week’s winners join the ranks of hopeful players as the Powerball jackpot continues to grow.
