Three Suspects Wanted After Man Robbed Aboard 5 Train at Bronx Subway Station

Police are searching for three suspects accused of assaulting a subway rider before stealing his wallet aboard a southbound 5 train in the Bronx.

BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects wanted in connection with a robbery aboard a 5 train at a Bronx subway station.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. Monday aboard a southbound 5 train at the 138 Street–Grand Concourse subway station, within the confines of the 40th Precinct.

Victim assaulted before wallet stolen

Investigators said a 32-year-old man became involved in a verbal dispute with three unidentified individuals while riding the train.

The suspects allegedly punched and kicked the victim throughout his body before taking his wallet. Police did not immediately release additional information about the victim’s injuries or whether the suspects were armed.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify the three individuals involved.
