Three Teens Shot Overnight in Philadelphia in Multiple Shootings

PHILADELPHIA, PA—Three teenagers were victims of separate shootings across Philadelphia in a series of violent incidents overnight. Each victim is currently hospitalized, with investigations underway by the city’s Shooting Investigation Group.

In the first incident in the 24th District, a 17-year-old male was shot in the right side of his chest around 12:11 AM on E Lippincott Street. He managed to walk into Temple Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. The police secured the scene, but no motive has been identified and no arrests have been made.

Shortly before this, at 11:29 PM in the 26th District, an 18-year-old male was shot once in the right leg on N Randolph Street. Authorities transported him to Temple Hospital where he remains in stable condition. Similar to the first case, no motive or weapons were found, and no arrests have occurred.

The third incident occurred at 9:06 PM near 60th Street and Spruce Street in the 18th District. A 17-year-old female suffered a gunshot wound just above her right eye and was taken by police to Presbyterian Medical Center in stable condition. Again, the scene of the shooting was not located, and detectives are still searching for a motive and the weapon used.

No suspects have been apprehended in any of the cases as investigations continue in an effort to understand the circumstances surrounding these violent acts and to identify those responsible.
