Tinton Falls resident claims $500K in scratch-off game

Monmouth County player wins $500,000 Shore Thing scratch-off prize in Tinton Falls

Trenton, NJ – A Monmouth County lottery player landed a $500,000 top prize after purchasing a $10 Shore Thing scratch-off ticket at a local store in Tinton Falls.

The winning ticket was sold at Pinebrook Liquor & Deli, located at 1870 Wayside Road. The win marks the second top prize claimed in the Shore Thing game, which offers three top prizes of $500,000. One top prize remains.

The New Jersey Lottery introduced the Shore Thing ticket earlier this year as part of its summer-themed lineup. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

The lottery, which began in 1970, has contributed nearly $33.7 billion to state-funded initiatives. Currently, its profits support the public employee pension system under a long-term funding agreement enacted in 2017.
