Toms River, NJ – Toms River officials joined business owners this week to celebrate the opening of one of the township’s newest restaurants, bringing Middle Eastern cuisine to a busy stretch of Fischer Boulevard.

Mayor Daniel Rodrick and Councilman Craig Coleman helped cut the ribbon at 7K Shawarma, now open at 1177 Fischer Blvd. in Toms River.

The new restaurant offers a menu centered around traditional Middle Eastern favorites, including shawarma, falafel, salads, and other specialty dishes.

7K Shawarma joins a steadily expanding lineup of independent restaurants opening across Ocean County as communities continue seeing growth in international cuisine and locally owned eateries.

The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to township officials.
