Toms River North Extends Winning Streak with Win Over Millville in Season Opener

August 26, 2023

Toms River, NJ – The #1 ranked Toms River High School North Mariners opened their 2023 football season with a 14-7 win over #2 ranked Millville. The game took place on Friday at the Battle of the Beach event in Ocean City.

This win extends the Mariners’ streak to 15 straight victories, following their historic 14-0 season last year.

Toms River North remains the highest-ranked public school football team in New Jersey. Last season, they finished at No. 2.

In a tightly contested match, Nasir Jackson sealed the win for the Mariners with an end-zone interception against Millville, halting their attempt to tie the game with only 82 seconds left on the clock.
