TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Toms River Recreation Department will launch its Sunday Summer Concert Series tonight with a performance by the Cigar Box Stompers at Shelter Cove Beach.
The concert, presented by Mayor Dan Rodrick and the township’s recreation team, begins at 7 p.m. The local band is scheduled to perform a variety of musical styles throughout the evening.
Boaters are invited to anchor in the cove and enjoy the live music from the water, while beachgoers can bring blankets and chairs for seating along the shore. Pets are not permitted at the event.
Parking is available at Shelter Cove, with additional auxiliary parking and shuttle service offered from Toms River High School East.
Food and ice cream trucks will be on site for those attending the concert.
