Toms River twin towers apartment building approved by planning board

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The future of Toms River is coming soon. This week, the Toms River Planning Board has approved the first step in Toms River Mayor Mo Hill’s plan to turn the sleepy downtown of lawyers’ offices and government buildings into a thriving downtown urban city.

A twin 10-story tower building to be built by Capodaglia Inc. was approved to be constructed on Water Street adjacent to the former Red Roof Inn motel.

Capodaglia expects the project to be completed within two years from the start of construction, which can’t start until the builder gets the necessary approvals from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

The plan, backed by Mayor Mo Hill received criticism from the townspeople, but little criticism was lodged at the planning board hearing before the board gave the final preliminary approval.

Related: Toms River Mayor Maurice Hill hires Jackson Republican who was condemned by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel for antisemitism, for saying he wants to chase Jewish kids out of town parks blasting satanic music, to a patronage job as a code enforcement officer. Story coming next week.
