Tops Markets sells winning TAKE 5 ticket worth over $30K

BUFFALO, NY — A lucky lottery player in Buffalo won the top prize of $30,932 in the TAKE 5 evening drawing on Monday, officials announced.

The winning ticket was sold at Tops Markets, located at 345 Amherst St. The TAKE 5 drawing, held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., selects numbers from a field of one through 39.

Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The New York Lottery, North America’s largest and most profitable lottery system, contributed $3.8 billion to public schools in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
