September 15, 2024

WOODBURY, N.J. — A dry-rotted telephone pole has fallen across Route 45 near Nelson Avenue, completely blocking all lanes of traffic, the Woodbury City Police Department reported Sunday morning.

PSEG is on the scene working to repair the damage, but Route 45 will remain closed in both directions until early afternoon.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Authorities thanked the public for their patience during the closure.
