Trenton man charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child

TRENTON, N.J. — A 43-year-old Trenton man has been arrested and charged in connection with the sexual assault of a juvenile, following a joint investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Trenton Police Department.

Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey announced the arrest of Irin Green, who was taken into custody in Trenton on June 13. Green is charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the criminal complaint, the alleged assault occurred approximately four years ago at a residence in Trenton. Authorities said the child and the child’s mother reported the incident to police earlier this month.

Detention motion filed

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion to detain Green pending trial. No additional details regarding the investigation or the timeline of events have been released at this time.

The case remains under active investigation by the Special Victims Unit.
