NEW YORK, NY — A 21-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint inside a Bronx subway station early Saturday morning after three men cornered him on a train platform and demanded his belongings, police said.

Robbery on platform

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. at the Fordham Road-Grand Concourse “B,D” subway station. The victim told police he was standing on the southbound platform when three unidentified men approached him. One of the suspects pulled out a knife, while another brandished a razor and demanded the victim’s property.

The victim handed over his wallet, which contained $10 in cash along with a credit card and debit card, police said. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Suspects fled on foot

Following the robbery, the three men fled the station on foot and remain at large. Authorities said they ran to “parts unknown” and the investigation is ongoing.

Descriptions provided by police describe all three suspects as men with light complexions. The first was last seen wearing a blue coat, gray sweatshirt, gray pants, and gray-and-white sneakers.

Multiple suspects in similar outfits

The second and third individuals were both described as wearing similar outfits — black jackets, black sweatshirts, black pants, and black-and-white sneakers. It was not immediately clear if surveillance footage was available or if the suspects had been seen entering the station prior to the attack.
