Trio on motorbike assaults man and steals $6K necklace in the Bronx, NYPD says

Police are searching for three men who attacked and robbed a 54-year-old man in the Bronx during a daylight assault last month, authorities said.

The incident took place Monday, June 30, around 4:15 p.m. near Mansion Street and Commonwealth Avenue, according to the NYPD.

The victim was approached by three unidentified individuals riding a two-wheeled motorized vehicle. One suspect stayed on the bike as a getaway driver while the other two surrounded the man, punched him multiple times in the head, and pushed him to the ground.

The suspects forcibly removed the victim’s necklace, valued at approximately $6,000, before fleeing southbound on Commonwealth Avenue. The victim sustained minor head injuries but declined medical attention.

The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a gray sweater and black ski mask.

The second suspect is a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black sweater and black ski mask.

The third suspect, believed to be the driver, is also a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black sweater and black face mask.

The NYPD is actively investigating the incident.
