Trump responds to New Orleans truck incident, calls it ‘act of pure evil’

January 1, 2025

NEW ORLEANS, LA — Former President Donald Trump released a statement following the revelation that an ISIS flag was found in the truck driven by Samshud Din Jabbar, 42, a suspect in an incident that has sparked a major investigation in New Orleans.

“When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true,” Trump stated. “The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department. The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!”

The New Orleans Police Department has confirmed that Jabbar was armed with a Glock pistol and a stolen .308 rifle from New Jersey, equipped with either optics or a suppressor. Investigators also noted that four to five additional suspects may have been involved, though their identities have not yet been disclosed.

The discovery of the ISIS flag in Jabbar’s vehicle has led authorities to consider potential links to terrorism, though they have not officially classified the case as such. The investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement seeking to determine motives and track down the additional suspects.

The NOPD continues to urge the public to come forward with any information as the investigation progresses.
