ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria police have arrested two Fairfax County residents in connection with a double shooting that injured two juveniles in a parked car late September.

Fitzhugh Godwin IV, 22, faces two counts of malicious wounding and one count of using a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to police.

Marcus Elliott, 28, has been charged with two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of using a firearm during the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and being a violent felon in possession of a firearm.

The arrests stem from a September 28 incident at the intersection of North Fayette and Wythe Streets, where two juveniles in a parked vehicle sustained gunshot injuries. Both victims survived.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the suspects’ motives or the nature of the conspiracy.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing as they work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.
