Two hospitalized as hunt underway for suspects in Southeast DC shooting

Washington, DC – Two adults were rushed to area hospitals early Thursday following a shooting in Southeast Washington as investigators launched a search for suspects believed to have fled in a black Honda sedan.

The shooting occurred in the 200 block of 37th Street, SE, where emergency crews responded and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported for medical treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

Investigators issued a lookout for a black Honda sedan occupied by two suspects believed to be connected to the shooting. No arrests have been announced.

Officials are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspects’ whereabouts to contact investigators at 202-727-9099 or submit tips anonymously by texting 50411.

The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine what led to the shooting and identify those responsible.
