Two Jackson Little Leagues merge, forming Jackson Holbrook Little League

January 21, 2025

JACKSON, N.J. — Jackson Little League and Holbrook Little League have officially merged, creating the newly established Jackson Holbrook Little League, officials announced Monday following approval by Little League International. The boards of both leagues had been working toward this unification for months, with the aim of streamlining operations and building a stronger community program for young athletes.

Registration for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons will now be managed through the Jackson Little League website, according to the league’s announcement. While there will be minor adjustments, including updates to logos, social media accounts, and website branding, the league emphasized that the core experience for players and families will remain unchanged.

“Come springtime, it will still be the same smiling faces on ballfields, dads yelling ‘swing the bat,’ and moms screaming ‘run it out,’” the league statement read. The boards collaborated extensively in November and December to finalize the merger and ensure a smooth transition for players and families.

The merger comes amid broader efforts within the Jackson community to consolidate local programs, including schools reportedly considering similar moves. The newly unified league hopes to foster collaboration and provide expanded resources for young athletes in the area.

Jackson Township Council President Jennifer Kuhn commended the league’s board of directors on the successful merger.

The league will provide updates on general membership meetings and other details as plans develop. In the meantime, registration for the spring season is open, and organizers say they are eagerly counting down the days until players take the field under the Jackson Holbrook Little League banner.

The merger represents a new chapter for youth sports in Jackson, with organizers optimistic about what the unified league will bring to the community.
