Two Men on Mopeds Launch Roman Candles at Delivery Driver in D.C.

Washington, D.C. – Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault incident.

On Sunday, at approximately 3:13 p.m., the suspect discharged a lit firework at a victim in the 1500 block of 9th Street, Northwest. The victim, a food delivery driver, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident.

The suspect was captured on a surveillance camera.

The D.C. Metro Police Department urges anyone with information to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. For information leading to an arrest and indictment, a reward of up to $1,000 is offered.
