Two men wounded in early morning double shooting on Hope Street in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Two men were injured early Sunday morning in a double shooting in North Philadelphia’s 25th Police District, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 5:25 a.m. on the 2800 block of Hope Street, where officers arrived to find evidence of gunfire but no victims at the scene.

Police later learned that two adult males had been taken by private vehicle to Episcopal Hospital, and were subsequently transferred to Temple University Hospital for additional treatment.

Victims remain hospitalized

The Philadelphia Police Shooting Investigation Group has taken over the case. Officers spent the morning canvassing the area for evidence and potential witnesses.

No suspects have been identified, and police say the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
