BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore police have arrested a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred on January 7 in the 1500 block of West Pratt Street.

The arrests were made on January 8 after officers from the Group Violence Unit observed the two juveniles entering a vehicle in the 500 block of Dolphin Street, later confirmed to have been stolen during the carjacking.

Detectives tracked the vehicle to the 1000 block of Park Avenue, where officers initiated a traffic stop. The 15-year-old female driver attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended after a brief pursuit, while the 16-year-old male passenger was taken into custody without incident.

Both suspects were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center and formally charged.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
