Search warrant executed after string of vehicle burglaries in Evesham’s Cambridge Park

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — A suspicious vehicle that fled police during a proactive patrol in the Cambridge Park neighborhood last month has led investigators to a Camden residence, where police executed a search warrant Thursday in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries.

On September 19, Evesham Township patrol officers attempted to stop a vehicle spotted acting suspiciously in the area. Although the vehicle fled before the stop could be completed, its registration was captured by the department’s Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) system. The following day, several residents of Cambridge Park reported vehicle break-ins.

Evesham detectives launched a follow-up investigation and were able to identify a suspect believed to be connected to the burglaries. That investigation led to the execution of a search warrant on October 30 at a residence on Eutaw Avenue in Camden. The operation was carried out with assistance from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team and the Medford Township Police Department.

Authorities confirmed that evidence related to the burglaries was recovered during the search. While charges have not yet been filed, police say they are forthcoming pending further investigation.

The case remains open, and investigators are seeking additional information from the public.
