Victim Identified in Deadly Bronx Shooting

BRONX, NY – A fatal shooting occurred on Sunday afternoon within the confines of the 43rd Precinct, leading to the death of a 47-year-old man. Police responded to a 911 call around 4:13 PM reporting a person shot at 2010 Bruckner Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency Medical Services promptly transported him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased has been identified as Jose Baez, a 52-year-old male from 1146 Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is actively continuing as authorities seek more information.
