Police say a 20-year-old Alexandria man was discovered inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound after a fatal shooting on Shippen Lane.
Washington, D.C. — A 20-year-old Virginia man was found fatally shot inside a vehicle Saturday after investigators determined the killing happened on a street in Southeast DC.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded at approximately 11:51 a.m. Saturday to the 1400 block of Bruce Place, Southeast, for a report of an unconscious person.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene, but despite lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead.
Investigators later determined the shooting occurred in the 1400 block of Shippen Lane, Southeast DC.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Manuel Enrique Garcia Reyes of Alexandria, Virginia.
No arrests have been announced, and police have not released information about a possible suspect or motive.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the killing.
