BRENTWOOD, Md. – A quick family visit across the Potomac turned into a major win for an Alexandria, Virginia, man who claimed a $50,000 top prize from the Maryland Lottery’s Cash Scratch Fever game.
The maintenance supervisor purchased the $5 ticket at AJ Liquors, located at 3801 Bladensburg Road in Brentwood. When he scratched it, he discovered the game’s top prize — his biggest lottery win to date.

Familiar game, fresh luck
