GALAX, VA – A Virginia woman walked into a Galax Food City and bought a Super Loteria scratch-off that delivered a $100K top prize — and her winning ticket triggered the end of the entire game after she claimed its last remaining grand prize.
The woman purchased the Virginia Lottery ticket at Food City, located at 955-A East Stuart Drive in Galax.
Her $100,000 win was the third and final top prize available in Super Loteria, game No. 2199.
With the last top prize claimed, the Virginia Lottery is closing the game. Lottery policy calls for scratch-off games to be closed once their final top prize is claimed.
The winner chose to remain anonymous, which is permitted under Virginia law. The Lottery does not publicly disclose the identity of a prize winner who elects to claim anonymously.
The odds of winning one of the $100,000 top prizes in Super Loteria were 1 in 1,632,000.
The overall odds of winning any prize in the game were 1 in 4.02.
The winner lives in Galax City, according to the Virginia Lottery.
