Investigators with the Oconee County and Anderson County Sheriff’s Offices, both also members of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigation.

Investigators state Slater distributed and possessed files of child sexual abuse material.

Slater was arrested on April 30, 2021. He is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree (§16-15-405), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment; and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
