Wildwoods International Kite Festival Set to Color the Skies

WILDWOOD, NJ – The skies above Wildwood will be vibrant with color as the Wildwoods International Kite Festival returns from May 24 to May 27. This annual event, the largest of its kind on the East Coast, will take place on the beach at Rio Grande Avenue and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center.

The festival kicks off on Friday at noon with the traditional Unlocking of the Ocean media event outside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Following this ceremonial start, attendees can explore the Kite Sales Tent, join the Friday Night Social hosted by the local kite club, and enjoy the spectacle of the 9:00 PM Illuminated Night Kite Fly.

The weekend continues with Silent and Loud Auctions on Saturday, open to all attendees. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature the flying of large inflatable kites, team flying, and a variety of family games from 9 AM to 6 PM. The festival concludes on Monday with the World Indoor Kite Exhibition inside the convention center.

This event is free to all spectators, offering a unique opportunity to experience the joy and beauty of kite flying against the backdrop of Wildwood’s beaches. For more information, visitors are encouraged to check out SkyFestivals.com.
