Wilkes-Barre police investigate vehicle vandalism incident

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Police are investigating a vandalism case after a woman reported damage to her vehicle while it was parked near her home on East Northampton Street.

The victim, a 62-year-old woman, told police she discovered that the gas cap on her vehicle had been damaged sometime overnight. She reported the incident at City Headquarters on Thursday evening.

Authorities have not identified any suspects or determined a motive for the damage.

The incident remains under investigation, and police have not released further details at this time.
