Hudson Valley shop sells TAKE 5 winner in evening drawing surprise
West Coxsackie, NY – A ticket sold at a Hudson Valley convenience store has joined a group of winning entries after matching all five numbers in the TAKE 5 evening drawing, according to lottery officials.
The New York Lottery said the winning ticket was purchased at Stewart’s Shops #120 on State Route 81 in West Coxsackie for the May 4 drawing.
The ticket matched all five numbers drawn, earning the top prize of $10,705. TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily and use numbers from one through 39.
Officials have not identified the winner. Lottery rules allow up to one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
The New York Lottery reported billions in contributions to education funding, continuing its role as a major source of school support across the state.
