Woman Charged For For Fireworks Fire Started by Her Children

TRENTON, NJ – On Wednesday, July 13, a fire erupted in the rear of 645 Chambers St. The Trenton Fire Department responded, managing to extinguish the blaze that had spread to neighboring residences.

Detective Kevin Williams and Fire Marshall Kevin Beyrouty then conducted an arson investigation.

Investigations revealed that two juveniles had started the fire by igniting fireworks.

The juveniles were discovered to be residents of Franklin St., and their mother, Monique Brown, was found responsible for the fireworks being in the children’s possession.

Brown has been charged with Endangering another Person and Use, Sale or Possession of fireworks.

She awaits further legal proceedings.
