Woman charged with assault after pointing gun at victims in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Southeast D.C. woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly brandishing a handgun and pointing it at multiple victims before fleeing the scene.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on March 19, officers responded to the 1900 block of C Street SE following reports of an assault with a dangerous weapon. The suspect was located and taken into custody by responding officers.

India Milam, 53, of Southeast D.C., was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun).

The case remains under investigation.
