Woman critically injured in early morning Allentown shooting

A woman is hospitalized with critical injuries following a shooting early Sunday morning in the 100 block of Pine Street in Allentown, according to police.

Officers with the Allentown Police Department responded at approximately 1:58 a.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. First aid was provided on the scene, and she was transported by Allentown EMS to a local hospital.

“The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing,” police stated in a release.
